The Edible Garden at the New York Botanical Garden
The Edible Garden, sponsored by the New York Botanical Garden, was a summer-long celebration of growing great food. Through delectable exhibitions and mouth-watering programs, tens of thousands of visitors were inspired to grow, prepare, and eat garden-fresh produce, and understand how plants provide the food and drink essential to maintaining life and enhancing wellness.
Throughout the summer, the Conservatory Kitchen hosted cooking demonstrations where visitors discovered innovative and healthful recipes using a multitude of edible plants. Designed by Better Kitchens President, Alan Zielinski, the Conservatory Kitchen hosted luminaries such as Martha Stewart, Emeril Lagasse, Lidia Bastianich, Daisy Martinez and others. In the splendid setting in front of the landmark Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, the Conservatory Kitchen reflects the Better Kitchen motto, Better by Design.
